REB REBEL LP'S, AND ADDITIONAL INFO. ON OTHER WORKS:

REBEL LP 1000- "For Segregationists Only" - Various Artists  (Johnny Rebel/ Happy Fats/ Son of Mississippi)  This lp is comprised of songs off the first seven Reb Rebel singles.

Additionally, concerning the three different color combinations to be seen on
Rebel singles: The original white /navy blue writing /no flags design was
only used, evidently, on the first four singles. (#500-#503) And there are a
few white label #500's, the Son of Mississippi's Flight NAACP 105, which have
red lettering running vertically down the left hand side of this same plain
white label. At that point, the silver background /navy blue flags label was
introduced, as seen on the #508's available on this site. It appears that a
very limited number of #504's, Johnny Rebel's Kajun KKK/Lookin' For A
Handout, were pressed using this silver/blue flags label, before it was
colored in, and discontinued. This is when the standard sky blue background
/colored flags label appeared, and all 21 singles were re-pressed using this
scheme, including re-presses of the first four. Lastly, the silver background
/navy blue flags label was re-introduced, and the few remaining labels not
utilized originally, when the small quantity of #504's were pressed back in
1966, were used up in pressing one last batch of Rebel records, which are the
Johnny Rebel #508's you see for sale from this site. All 'For Seg. Only' lp's
were pressed with the sky blue/colored flags label. All of these records were
pressed between 1966 and 1972-3, and there was never a re-issue, and never
will be. (according to those who currently own the rights.)

None of this material was ever released on compact disk, or tapes,
either. All c.d.'s you run across, and copies of vinyl with additional songs
added, etc. are bootlegs, and are not the real thing. There are numerous
imitation labels out there, and probably always will be, but the Reb Rebel
Records cuts are all the originals, played by the original performers and
writer's (except two Johnny Rebel songs - Nigger, Nigger, and Move Them
Niggers North, which were written by a Mr. Jackson.)  of this material. All
other versions of these songs, and those calling themselves "Johnny Rebel" in
the years since, are covering the material. Additionally, Reb Rebel Records,
out of Crowley, La., was in no way associated with Rebel Records pressed in
both Nashville, TN., and/or Mt Rainier, MD., featuring such artists as Pete
Pike, The Country Gentleman, Al Jones and The Spruce Mountain Boys, or George Jackson and Dick Dial. They were two seperate entities entirely.
